As mentioned in Travel into Space, Part I: Space Mountain, we learned that Disney World is home to three different space-themed attractions. All of these offer guests of all ages different levels of out-of-this-world excitement. If you are a space enthusiast, these are must-see attractions during your next Disney vacation.
Spaceship Earth explores more than just outer space. It will take you on a journey through time where you will experience first hand history in the making. Ride through historical landmarks and witness cavemen painting their cave walls and the Egyptians inventing papyrus. All of these and more are witnessed aboard what is know as “our Spaceship Earth,” which is narrated by Dame Judi Dench.
Once you return to Earth you will have a chance for a hands-on leaning experience with tomorrow’s technology. You can explore interactive games, send emails to family back home and learn different ways to “think green.”
You will be amazed by the experience and want to go back a second time to see things you might have missed your first time through.
Walt Disney World Travel Examiner’s tip: Skip past Spaceship Earth upon entering the park. This is the first attractions guests will see and the lines in the early morning hours tend to be long. Try returning closer toward lunch times to have less of a wait.
