Belize is a destination for die-hard diving fans, and its beaches and laid-back atmosphere can mean a great vacation for anyone. Getting to the resort is a challenge, since major airlines fly into Belize City and travelers need to take an intra-country airline to Dangriga. From Denver, a quick look found 2 stops, one in Houston and one in Belize City for $995, roundtrip. If you’re up for adventure, this could be it!
Many have New Zealand on their bucket list. This is an expensive destination, but Air New Zealand has lowered fares to the Cook Islands. Depart on Sundays and return Saturdays for $848 roundtrip, with taxes, from Los Angeles. Travel from June 3 through August 26. Air New Zealand is the only airline that flies this route from North America. The Islands have a temperate climate not unlike Hawaii. Travelzoo.com is offering this special as one of their Top 20 this week, but book at Air New Zealand by February 21.
A little closer to home, Groupon Getaways is offering stays at SkyRun Vacation Rentals. Choose from two or three nights in a one-, two-, or three-bedroom condo starting at $357 for two nights. SkyRun has resorts in Keystone, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain. Each unit complete completely outfitted and most complexes have hot tubs or jetted tubs to soak away the day’s activities.
