Travel apps: RoadNinja leads the way

If you are one of the three quarters of the Americans who are planning on traveling this holiday season (according to the Orbitz Holiday Travel Insider Index Survey) then you might be looking for travel apps to make that process a bit smoother this year. Thinking of staying in a hotel rather than crashing on the foldout bed in your in-laws’ basement? RoadNinja could lead your way.

RoadNinja is the ultimate interstate travel app. The next time you hit the highway, open up RoadNinja which shows users what’s coming up at the next exit (and beyond). RoadNinja displays places that are right off the interstate cutting down your overall travel time. It opens up a new world of possibilities—not only new hotel options, but also locations with specific discount and service promotions.

RoadNinja has partnered with Hotels.com to provide on-the-go travelers easy access to hotel accommodations and more than 20,000 exclusive mobile hotel travel deals for both their last-minute and road-trip planning needs. The partnership allows you to not only view hotel prices and availability, but also offers up easy accommodations booking directly from the app.

How does it work? According to the website:

  • Hotels appear in a list of convenient options for each road exit based on proximity and rates; the hotel with the lowest room rate is displayed first.
  • By tapping any hotel in the exit list, travelers can also view the Hotels.com Guest Review rating, available room types and prices, photos, amenities, directions and more.
  • Travelers simply click “Book Now” and will be redirected to the Hotels.com mobile website for easy booking at the lowest guaranteed rate.

If you are road tripping over the holidays, give RoadNinja a try. Its goal is to take some of the uncertainty out of your trip by giving users access to the most relevant information (and cost-effective options) for their immediate travel needs. What could be more useful for the road wandering, holiday traveler?
