Dogtown is a portion of the St. Louis area located near "The Hill". It encompasses a historic section of St. Louis that is best known for its St. Patrick's Day parades.
Daniel Boone Home is just west of St. Louis down Hwy. 94. As its name implies, it was one of the homes where Daniel Boone lived. The home offers tours and sponsors Pioneer days in the fall.
Delta Dental Theatre is a perfect place to visit for a field trip and to learn about dental hygiene in an environment intended for children.
Ted Drewes is a well-known frozen custard place in South City on what was once called Route 66. The business is family owned and has been around since 1929 as a St. Louis tradition. During the summer, lines wrap around the small building filled with customers waiting for a tasty treat.
Endangered Wolf Center is south of St. Louis down Hwy. 44. The center's purpose is to preserve wolves from extinction. You can visit their learning center.
Everyday Circus is located downtown inside the City Museum.
Family Arena is located in St. Charles. It is the home of many family-oriented events and concerts.
Fitz Rootbeer is located in the Delmar Loop. It is a restaurant and a bottling facility of hometown rootbeer. You can tour Fitz to learn more.
Forest Park is a one-stop all-day learning excursion. It is a large green space in the city that also houses the St. Louis Science Center, Steinberg Ice Skating Rink, The St. Louis Art Museum, The St. Louis Zoo, The Missouri History Museum and more.
Faust Park is located off of Olive Street near Hwy. 40 in west county. It is home to the Butterfly House and the historic carousel that used to be part of an amusement park in Forest Park before a large fire years ago. The carousel has been restored.
