Celeste Zellin from Alfa Travelgear Inc. gave a fun interview for Geobeats about the availability of functional luggage for the traveling woman.
I’m always on the lookout for great travel accessories—things that make my life easier. I’ve learned the hard way not to overpack, but that doesn’t mean that I’ve stopped trying to figure out how to create the most efficient method of bringing everything I might need along for the trip.
As Zellin points out, one of the most important things in a travel bag is compartments in order to keep your stuff organized. I don’t want to dig through my main bag for my travel documents, my laptop, my liquids—whatever I’m going to have to take out during the TSA screening portion of the journey. Bags with secure outside compartments for my travel documents are key.
Travel cosmetics bags are very useful, even when you are going on a "no frills" kind of adventure. Even if you aren’t bringing tubes and tubes of lipstick, you will need things like sunscreen, toothpaste, etc. I like to be able to have a small, separate compartment for my basic necessities—plus, of course, the clear bag for my liquids. Making all of that easily accessible, and keeping it separate from my clothing just in case they open, means the luggage has scored bonus points in my world.
My personal favorite of the items Zellin discussed is their weekender bag. It’s a great size to bring one or two options—yoga gear and a nice dress (just in case) will fit easily. Plus, it also has those easy outside (yet secure) compartments so that everything stays organized.
