You can take your homeschoolers this summer and travel to Sunny South Florida. You can let them experience a Summer Music Camp. This can be a once in a lifetime experience for them. You can explore Miami as well. You can see the diversity and enjoy the Summer beach as your kids explore the world of Music. This is a great Summer camp to explore in Miami. You can travel from Wilkesboro to Miami and let your homeschoolers explore music and explore the city of Miami.
"The Greater Miami Youth Symphony announces its 7th annual Summer Music Camp. The 2013 GMYS Summer Music Camp promises to be an opportunity for growth and skill development for all students involved. Each student will have opportunities in small and large ensembles, recitals, gala concerts, as well as workshops in improvisation, sight-reading, conducting, and music theory and music history. Students in intermediate camp will also participate in physical education and literacy classes. Field trips for the 2013 camp include New World Center, Venetian Pool, ZooMiami, Actor’s Playhouse, and more!
The dates for the camp are as follows:
June 10-28: Advanced Camp (3 weeks) at South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211th Street, Cutler Bay, FL 33189
June 10-July 19: Intermediate Camp (6 weeks) at South Miami High School, 6856 SW 53rd St., Miami, FL 33155
July 15-August 9: Beginners Camps (can attend 2 or 4 week session)"
