On July 15, Walt Disney World Resort announced that Trattoria al Forno will open at Disney’s Boardwalk, located at the Epcot Resort area of Walt Disney World. The new restaurant will serve food and wine representing Italy’s various regions, and offer Neapolitan-style pizza pizza.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the new Italian restaurant will specialize in “simple food” baked in wood ovens, a diverse menu that showcases Old World cooking techniques, and seasonal dishes. Trattoria al Forno will open in December of this year.
Neapolitan-style pizzas will be one of the featured dishes. This type of pizza, representing the Naples region, uses wood-ovens, uses tomatoes and fresh mozzarella and a hand-formed crust. Trattoria al Forno will make its own mozzarella daily, as well as other items like cavatelli.a type of pasta.

Vegetarian entrées will also be featured, such as a Campanelle pasta with green beans, roasted potatoes and Genovese pesto.
Trattoria al Forno will offer a full evening of dining. Classic Italian desserts –tiramisù, lemon panna cotta with almond crunch and berries, gelatos, and the signature bomboloni (Italian donut holes) with dark chocolate and vanilla gelato – and espresso drinks and a signature-blend Italian coffee, roasted exclusively for the restaurant, will be available.
