Railex uses advances in transportation and logistics that incorporate railroad lines connecting the west coast and east coast and agricultural products grown locally on farms. Products are kept cool with tracking devices that records the temperature through transport. Products are transported from temperature controlled railcars onto refrigerated tractor trailers for quick transport to local stores. Products are shipped using modern technology in logistics to quickly transport agricultural products across railroad lines more eficiently. Railex uses the only refrigerated railcars in America that transport agricultural products like fruits and vegetables. As product is removed from railcars it is stored in state of the art temperature controlled refrigerated units in warehouses. The Northeast region has 10 temperature controlled units inside its warehouse. Units within the warehouse are designed to repack some products for easy transport to grocery stores and businesses. The northeast distribution center can easily reach and service five cities locally in less than 4 hours.

With advances in technology and logistics Railex is able to service business and stores more efficiently using railways. Railex is recognized by the US EPA as a SmartWay Transport Partner for incorporating green technology and efficiently transporting product to our local stores using the railway cars. Using these advances in technology Railex is able to build distribution centers across America so as to service different regions more efficiently greener and safer. As a large facility with large quantities of product being handled Railex brings jobs and employment opportunities to upstate New York.
