UNITED KINGDOM - Transgender singer, Chrisie Edkins, is looking to help spread transgender & transsexual awareness around the world through her music once again. From now till the end of 2013 Edkins, with or without her complete band, is offering to perform worldwide at any Pride event for free. The only requirement for the Pride organizer(s) that book her is that they must arrange transportation and accommodations for her.

To assist in achieving her goal of performing at as many Pride events as possible, Edkins is looking for companies and businesses to sponsor her to aid with the cost of travel to help the individual Pride event organizer(s) who can not afford the costs of her travel expenses.

Businesses that sponsor Edkins’ tour by contributing will be given a range of sponsorship packages to choose from. choice's ranging from advertisement's, on-stage banner's, printed logo's on t-shirts, credits in online video's, flyers, posters, website's, social networks and mention's within the media.

A talented popular music artist, and model from the South of the United Kingdom, Edkins is also a pre-op transsexual woman. Edkins has always dreamed of being in the lime light either by working in the media or for her work standing up for equal rights.
As a model, Edkins was featured on Redbubble photographic Art, and has completed Photo shoots for Foto Fabulous, Lowford Studios, Transfem, Take Five Magazine, Closer Magazine, Repartee Magazine, 3Sixty Magazine, Bella Magazine, DV8 Magazine, Pink Magazine, Pick Me Up magazine, and FUSE Magazine. In addition, Edkins will be featured on the cover of next months issue of Beaumont Quarterly Magazine, published by The Beaumont Society.
Edkins has also appeared in a number of major news paper articles around the world, as well as made appearances at the 2008 & 2009 London Pride events. Edkins is now signed by two of the UK's top modelling agency's including Model Moi & All Image Solutions.
As a musician, Edkins has been working hard for many years to be able to put on a performance that is extremely entertaining, original and fresh. With her “new 80s” style, her music is becoming well known throughout the United Kingdom and has even spanned across to United States of America as well. Edkins has performed live in various venues and at various Pride events around the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Canada, Russia, Spain, and also the USA where she once performed live in Las Vegas on Christmas of 2009. Edkins has been signed to Play Records in London.
Edkins has been interviewed on RTL Explosiv in Germany and ITV This Morning, promoting awareness and understanding of the transgender community. Edkins has also appeared as a guest on the Trisha Goddard Show, during which she gave a one to one interview in front of a live studio audience to help promote transgender rights and advise on being a transgender lone parent.
Due to her continued efforts to help promote transgender awareness around the world, Edkins was nominated for induction into the International Transgender Historical Society’s Transgender Hall of Fame (Class of 2013) in 2012. Though Edkins did not get inducted, she has been nominated once again this year for induction into the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2014.
Being an extrovert, Edkins likes to stand out from the crowd, she is a born entertainer who in her spare time likes to drive and ride fast cars and motorcycles. Edkins expresses her more creative side through her love of television, film, art and music. Edkins is a driven individual who feels that no matter what it takes she will achieve her goals.
Combined with her dreams for her own future, Edkins is well known in the transgender community for the pro-active role she plays in trying to spread knowledge, understanding and support to those within the community who need a little help. After all, who better than Edkins to offer help and guidance since she has been through the works in her own life and has come through the stronger for it.
With her drive to make a stand for everyone that has been or is going through the same, Edkins appeared on various television shows, magazines and newspapers throughout the United Kindom in order to share her story.
