Transgender model Lea T made headlines today. Advocate.com reported on Jan. 25 that she is now the face for the United Colors of Benetton. The model has already shot photos for the brand's spring 2013 campaign.
In one of the photos, Lea poses in the buff. The beautiful model covers herself with a Kelly green sweater. She also wears a matching headband.
Another photo of the model leaked. This time, it's a close up of her beautiful face. Readers get a full view of her dark brown eyes and olive skin complexion. She holds up a Kelly green sweatshirt in front of her face and dons two matching headbands.
Lea T isn't the only model breaking gender grounds today. Female model Casey Legler is posing for All Saints. She's not the face for their womenswear line. In fact, she's the new face for their menswear line.
The 18-year-old wears a variety of men's clothing for their spring 2013 ads. In one photo, she wears a black and white varsity jacket with black skinny jeans. In another photo, she sports a black leather motorcycle jacket and black denim jeans.
It's unbelievable how Casey Legler looks in the All Saints photo shoot. Casey and Lea T are certainly the fashion models breaking boundaries this year. These ads show young people that it's okay to be themselves.
