Now that Megan Fox is officially out as Mikaela Banes in the Paramount Pictures feature film Transformers 3, director Michael Bay is auditioning actresses to replace Fox. This creates a huge cast vacancy that would assure international fame and exposure for the actress who takes over the role of as Shia LaBeouf’s love interest in the $1.5 billion franchise.
It is no secret that Megan Fox and Michael Bay haven’t had the most friendly of working relationships in the past. She even likened Bay and his on-set personality to Adolf Hitler. There are also rumors that it was actually director Michael Bay who fired her. Paramount confirmed that they didn't renew her option, according to a report by MTV.
Principal photography was set to run from May 17, 2010 through July 1, 2010 with a release date of July 1, 2011. The shoot start date will have to be pushed back until a suitable replacement is signed to replace Megan Fox. It is likely there will be many A-List acresses vying for the role, but it is not out of the question that Michael Bay will hire an unknown actress for the role. Many times when a newbie actor is hired (to replace another actor) for big films such as Transformers 3, there are not the large expectations that come with hiring an uber-familiar face. An A-List actress could make or break a film in the first 10 minutes if she does not live up to the expectations of the audience.
