Shia LaBeouf, star of “The Transformer Movies” and “Wall Street: Money never Sleeps” was briefly handcuffed and release after an altercation with a patron at the Mad Bull’s Tavern in Sherman Oaks California.
According to witnesses a male patron being taunting the actor using homophobic slurs and then sucker punched him in the face splitting his lip. The altercation was then taken outside.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after and both men were handcuffed and placed in police cruisers. After talking with the police neither man wanted to press charges against the other and they were released.
Although the actor has not been in trouble with the law recently excluding this latest incident LaBeouf has had his share of run ins with the law. In 2007, the actor was arrested for drunken trespassing in a Walgreens.
In 2008, he was arrested twice once for illegally smoking, and later that year for being impaired and refusing to take a breathalyzer test after being in a automobile accident.
Although LaBeouf has admitted to being an alcoholic, and having had a tough childhood it doesn’t seem to have taken a toll on his still thriving movie career, his movies the “Transformers and Wall Street” have both been major studio hits.
