Here is the transcript of what Jim Harbaugh said the day following a 29-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks:
On Ian Williams and his replacement Glenn Dorsey:
"He is going to be out for the year. It's disappointing and he'll have surgery today. I thought Dorsey played well and he had a lot of good snaps."
On potential additions at the nose tackle position:
"We're looking through that right now. We'll be making a decision coming in the next day or two."
On Eric Reid:
"He is being looked at today. Reid is going through the protocol and the good news is he isn't symptomatic, so that's a positive."
On the loss to the Seahawks:
"We're looking to make significant improvements. Seattle has a good defense and they played extremely well. As the game flowed, we [didn't] get points on the first drive. We came away with nothing and momentum plays were made by Seattle's defense. We had some chances and there were some missed opportunities. We're looking where we can make improvements and zero in on that."
On Colin Kaepernick's performance:
"There was good coverage and pressure at times [by the Seattle defense]. Colin competed and made plays. He didn't make enough plays, but I thought he played hard and played well at times."
On the hit by Ahmad Brooks on Russell Wilson during the read-option:
"You know my position, I've been outspoken about it. It wasn't a penalty, but the rule needs to be reconsidered."
On Richard Sherman's performance against the 49ers wide receivers:
"Sherman did a good job. His coverage was tight and he was an excellent player."
On the 12 penalties for 121 yards:
"It's an area that obviously we need to improve on. And hopefully we see significant improvement in that area."
On Week 3 opponent Andrew Luck, his former quarterback while at Stanford:
"He is a terrific player and you can see it on the tape. The ball comes out quicker than it looks like it comes out. His velocity on throws is faster than it looks like. He is stronger and physical than he looks in the pocket. [He is] tough to bring down, even harder when he is running with the ball."
"Out of the pocket, Luck can make a throw on the run because he is faster than he looks. This will be the third week in a row we're playing one of the top quarterbacks in the league."
On playing the Colts in Week 3:
"There's not a lot of weaknesses that [their offense] has. We're gonna have to be very sound, very good and hopefully we're better as we play these type of [quarterbacks]."
