Transcend has introduced a luxury USB drive - the 520S drive in silver and the 520G drive in gold. These are USB 2.0 drives that have been dressed up from standard drives with a silver case or a gold case (it's gold plated rather than solid gold). They include a leather carry strap, have a lifetime warranty, and come in capacities of 8 GB to 32 GB. Transcend includes on the drive a copy of its Transcend Elite & RecoveRx software.
Transcend Elite is intelligent backup software that allows backup scheduling and data restoration from any point in time. It features incremental backup, compression with 256 bit AES encryption, and syncing of internet Favorites/Bookmarks to your Transcend portable device so that you can browse them no matter what computer you're using. It can be configured to temporarily lock your computer whenever you unplug the storage device - preventing unauthorized access to sensitive documents while you are away from it (Windows 8 not supported.
RecoveRx searches a storage device looking for erased files that can be rescued. The recovered files are automatically saved to another location after the recovery is finished.
