Tranformers: War for Cybertron video talks story and origins

A new developer and gameplay video for Transformers: War for Cybertron talks story and origins of the Transformers featured in the game.

A few interesting tidbits that will be revealed (and expanded upon) in the game include:

  • Starscream does not start out as a Decepticon
  • Megatron views himself as a hero trying to restore Cybertron to its 'glory days'
  • Bumblebee is one of the first to join Optimus Prime in his fight against the Decepticons
  • Why Megatron actually keeps Starscream around 

Transformers: War for Cybertron is set to release on June 22nd, 2010 for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360. The PC version will ship with a suggested retail price of $29.99 (vs. $59.99 on Xbox/PS3).
