Trailers for two genre blockbuster hopefuls debuted this week

Paragon of charisma Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars as the titular demigod in the latest film from controversial director Brett Ratner. This version of Hercules will focus partially on his legendary Twelve Labors, in addition to a storyline that sees him as a soldier of fortune hired by the King of Thrace. In addition to playing Hercules, The Rock will also portray Olympian gods Zeus and Apollo, and will be joined by Ian McShane and John Hurt.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This Michael Bay-produced reboot of the popular ‘80s franchise will offer a new take on the classic amphibious shinobi. Megan Fox (“Transformers”) will star as yellow-jacketed reporter and friend of the Turtles April O’Neil, alongside her trusty cameraman played by Will Arnett (“The Lego Movie”). The Ninja Turtles themselves will be voiced by Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), and Jeremy Howard (Donatello). William Fichtner and Danny Woodburn round out the main cast as Shredder and Splinter respectively.
