Traffic in San Francisco

Are the streets any safer in San Francisco? Personally I don't think so and according to Jessica Kwong's March 14, 2014 article in the San Francisco Examiner Police Chief Greg Suhr indicated there is a 54 percent increase in citations issued between January 2013 and January 2014.

Almost 11,000 citations were issued in February with the most being issued out of the Richmond station, I did notice an increased Police presence after the tragic accident on Sunset Boulevard where an elderly individual was killed while crossing the cross walk. 6 pedestrian fatalities, more then a dozen injured so far and the Police presence is gone. After "high fiving themselves" for a busy February, where did they go in March?

Drivers still drive too fast, they don't look or signal, pedestrians are still getting hurt, Drive carefully and at your own risk. Here's the link to Jane Kwong's article regarding tickets and pedestrian safety.
