Pumpkin pie with caramel topping: Unique pumpkin pie recipes
Although I love pumpkin pie just plain, I like to mix it up a bit to give my holiday guests something memorable for dessert. Adding some caramel topping to the pumpkin pie along with a bit of whipped topping will help you create this unique pumpkin pie recipe. This serves 6 to 8 people.
½ cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 (15 oz.) can solid pack pumpkin
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1 ready-made pie crust
Pre-heat the oven to 425º F.
Add sugar and eggs to a large bowl. Use a whisk to stir them together.
Add in the remaining ingredients, stirring everything together.
Pour the mixture into your ready-made pie crust.
Turn the oven down to 350º F and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center of the pie is done.
Allow the pie to cool on a wire cooling rack for at least two hours before serving.
Caramel pie topping
1 ½ cups Biscoff spread
½ cup of whipping cream
To make the caramel topping, pour the ½ cup of whipping cream into a bowl and mix it until soft peaks form.
Sprinkle in sugar. Add enough to suit your tastes and continue mixing until the peaks are stiff.
Put the Biscoff Spread in a microwave-safe dish and heat until it's melted.
Top the pie with the whipped topping and the heated Biscoff Spread.
You can add the Biscoff Spread to the crustless pumpkin pie recipe as well.
