Tracy Morgan's horrific accident last weekend prompted his mother to run to his side only to get to the hospital to find out she has been banned from seeing her son by his fiancee'. Morgan was critically injured in an accident that turned fatal for one of Morgan's friends riding in the limo with him. Alicia Warden, Morgan's mother, learned about the accident from the news, no one had called her to tell her that her son was critically injured in an accident, reports TMZ on June 11.
Morgan's accident on the New Jersey Turnpike put the comedian in the headlines this week as the entertainment world keeps a close eye on his progress after numerous injuries landed him in intensive care. Morgan and his friends were riding in a party limo when a tractor trailer driver allegedly fell asleep and caused a six-car collision, which put Morgan's limo on its side.
The injuries that Morgan sustained were critical and doctors say he is looking at months upon months of a recuperation period from all his broken bones and injuries. Apparently Tracy and his mother have been estranged for some time and according to TMZ, he never kept that a secret, it was a fact well known.
According to MSN News, Warden claims that she wasn't contacted by her future daughter-in-law about this horrific accident that put Tracy in the hospital. Whether estranged or not, Warden is next of kin to Morgan and had a right to know her son was fighting for his life.
When Warden showed up right after she heard about the accident on Saturday she was turned away from the hospital by the hospital security and Megan Wollover, Tracy's fiancee'. The next day she returned again to see her son and this time she was allowed five minutes only. Tracy was unconscious and she was never left alone with him as his friends and a pastor remained in the room during her visit.
Warden wanted her family to have some alone time with Tracy. She wanted to pray over him with his relatives, but there were too many people in the room. In an interview back in 2012, Morgan said he hadn't seen his mother in 11 years.
The truck driver who allegedly caused this accident has been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto. This came after allegations were brought to light that the truck driver hadn't slept in more than 24 hours.
