Tracy Morgan is in critical condition and remains in intensive care in a New Jersey hospital after he was involved in a six-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Saturday morning. There were six people in a limo bus with Morgan coming back from a standup gig in Delaware when the crash occurred.
According to NBC Philadelphia on June 7, one person who was with Morgan has died and three others are in critical condition, with one if fair condition today. Morgan was traveling back from his stand-up gig in his limo bus when this six-vehicle accident occurred.
Two tractor trailer trucks were involved in this crash, which has left Morgan fighting for his life today. The "30 Rock" actor's limo bus overturned around 1 a.m. just north of Exit 7A of the Jersey Pike in Cranbury, which is outside of Trenton at mile marker 71.5, according to NJ.com.
One of the tractor trailer drivers is to blame for this accident, according to State Police today. Morgan was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey and remains in intensive care today in critical condition.
According to All Hip Hop today, Morgan was on the road with his tour "Turn It Funny." One of his stops on that tour was at Dover Downs Casino in Dover, Delaware, on Friday night. He was scheduled to take the stage there at 9 p.m., according to the Casino's website.
There is no news about Morgan's condition, other that he remains critical today. There has been no word on whether or not Morgan is expected to recover from this horrendous accident.
"Fox and Friends Weekend" live on Saturday morning said the crash was "horrific" that left Morgan in critical condition. His bus limo was traveling in the north-bound lanes of the Jersey Pike when the accident occurred.
Update: "Fox and Friends Weekend" report that Tracy Morgan was airlifted to the hospital from the accident.
Update: The passenger who died riding in the limo with Morgan has been identified as James McNair, 62, of Peekskill, New York. He died at the scene, according to police. A Shelton, Connecticut man was also in the limo and was also airlifted to the hospital. His name is Jeffrey Millea, 37. Morgan, who is 45, is still listed in critical condition as of late Saturday afternoon.
A fourth passenger, who is also in critical condition, is comedian Ardie Fuqua Jr. and a fifth passenger, Harris Stanton, was treated and released. Two from the limo escaped injury including the driver.
