Tracy McGrady makes professional debut Saturday on ESPN3

Tracy McGrady will make his professional baseball debut tonight against the Somerset Patriots. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

A lifelong dream for McGrady is finally being realized. He has worked and done everything he can since starting this new chapter in his life. He participated in off-season workouts with Roger Clemens, and made enough of an impression during his only in-game performance to make the Sugar Land Skeeters Opening Day roster.

On a limited pitch count, according to the Skeeters, this will not be a make-or-break performance. He will more than likely get a few more opportunities before the team cuts ties with him if he can't perform. If he can get through this outing unschathed it will only build his confidence and confirm the legitimacy of his roster spot.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT. Tune in to ESPN3 or visit the Skeeters website for more information on how to watch the game.
