Country music singer Trace Adkins' wife filed for divorce today, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, after only two days of separation according to Taste of Country. Rhonda Adkins filed the paperwork in Nashville, Tn. stating the couple had irreconcilable differences.

Rhonda is asking for primary custody of the couple's three children, all girls age 9, 12 and 16 and also to be the prime beneficiary of Adkin's life insurance policy. In addition, she is asking for child support and alimony.

Trace and Rhonda have been married since 1997 and was currently residing in Nashville, Tn.

Adkins has been marred three times and has a grown daughter with his second wife, Julie. This marriage ended after Julie shot Trace during a fight.

Trace has been in the news frequently this year, first making headlines in January for attacking a look-alike on a celebrity cruise after drinking too much. The county music singer checked himself into rehab immediately and stayed until he got word of his father's failing health. His father passed away just weeks later.

Although alcohol was not mentioned in the divorce papers, we have to wonder what is really going on with Adkins now after a troublesome start to 2014. He recently took to the stage at the Grand Ole Opry in a surprise visit and looked well.
