Country superstar Trace Adkins definitely knows a thing or two about heroes, and starting this fall, he'll be bringing their stories to life on the new series "Great American Heroes" on GAC. "Great American Heroes" follows Adkins on his "Songs & Stories" tour as he takes time away from being on stage to pay tribute to some ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities. The show will premiere on Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. ET, on the Great American Country (GAC) network.
During each episode, Adkins will focus on three hometown heroes, acknowledging their efforts, and surprising them with something special that will help them continue their good work. Each of these heroes will also be special guests at his concert in their area.
“A lot of people get attention for the wrong reasons but the true measure of a hero is serving others. On Great American Heroes, I will introduce the real people who fit that bill,” said Adkins in a press release. “They devote themselves to others and deserve all the applause we can give them. These heroes will inspire you, make your heart swell and your eyes tear up. This show does more than tell some good stories, it affirms our faith in others.”

GAC can be found on channel 165 on Dish, channel 326 on DirecTV, and 484 on Comcast in Chico.
