Trace Adkins leaves rehab to buy a new guitar

Country singer Trace Adkins is said to be on the mend in rehab following his country music cruise debacle earlier this month. TMZ reports on Jan. 27 that Trace went to a music store near his Florida rehab center and purchased a new guitar to help him with his treatment. Adkins recently fell off the wagon after 12 years of sobriety.

But one good thing is the country crooner seems committed to getting right back on track. So much so that he angered some of the cruise guests by jumping ship early shortly after his meltdown at sea.

Photos show the singer drunkenly confronting a Trace Adkins impersonator. Thankfully Mr. Adkins quickly got himself to a rehab facility. His therapist is encouraging him to stay focused positively on his recovery by playing music and writing songs.

That’s what apparently sent the 52-year-old to a Lake Worth, Fla., music store over the weekend. He was of course accompanied by rehab employees, and was reported to have purchased a used Martin guitar for $1,100.

Trace may have p*ssed off some of the cruise passengers when he abandoned ship, but it’s a good bet many of his new pals in rehab are happy about his shopping trip.
