Trace Adkins lands in rehab following cruise ship altercation

Trace Adkins finds himself in hot water, following a cruise ship altercation, and has checked into rehab, TMZ is reporting.

A source close to the situation says the country singer, who had been sober for 12 years, recently fell off the wagon. While on a cruise to Jamaica, Adkins imbibed at the ship's onsite bar, eventually engaging in a physical altercation with a man impersonating him during karaoke.

"Once the ship docked in Jamaica, Trace jumped ship," the report claims.

This story is developing.

Recently, Adkins dropped out of his performance scheduled at Seaworld, amidst the "Blackfish" documentary scandal. "Trace prefers that the focus of his performances be on music, not on controversy," his rep had emailed to CNN. "Therefore, he has decided not to proceed with this show in the midst of this debate." There appears to be no connection between these two events.
