TP tube sculpture celebrates Presidents’ Day

TP tube crafts are an easy, inexpensive way to practice cutting, coloring and gluing skills. Students in first grade and older should be able to make this sculpture project. You will need:

  • Copies of the pattern
  • Crayons or colored pencils
  • Scissors
  • White glue
  • TP tube

Click on the photo and choose “save picture as”. Insert the picture into a Word document and drag the corners until it takes up the entire page.  The body piece should measure seven inches wide.  Make copies on stiff white paper.

Use a coloring medium to color in the parts as noted. Cut out the parts.

Before cutting out the center of the hat brim, make sure that the tube is the same size as the inner circle. Tubes come in different sizes, so this circle may have to be adjusted. Glue the body part to the TP tube. Slide the brim down the tube to the first line on the top of the body part so that the top of the tube makes the top of the hat. Glue or tape it in place.
