Toyota announces a fix for recall vehicles models and years. Toyota dealerships around the country began to fix the vehicles listed on the recall list yesterday. Toyota has two separate recalls going on, and a third was in question Wednesday about the Toyota Prius cars sold in the US and Japan.

The following vehicles have been added to the Toyota recall: the 2008-2010 Highlander, 2009-2010 Corolla, 2009-2010 Venza 2009-2010 Matrix, 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe.

Vehicles included in the original recall: the 2007-2010 Toyota Camry, 2005-2010 Avalon, 2004-2009 Prius, 2010 Tacoma, 2007-2010 Tundra and the 2007-2010 Lexus ES350, 2006-2010 and the 2006-2010 IS250 and IS350.

Toyota car sales were down 47% from December to January, and many Toyota customers are upset about the length of time it took for a repair to the gas pedals to be announced. 19 deaths have been reported so far in relation to the gas pedal problems.

The problems with Toyota vehicles have upset customers and this has created an opportunity for other car dealerships.

"Every dog has its day," said Jerry Seiner, who owns several General Motors dealerships in Salt Lake City. "Maybe they'll take a second look at us instead of Toyota…when Toyota stumbles, it's our opportunity."
