Townsend Hotel's Valentine's Day Afternoon Tea is filled with sweet delights

Flowers, chocolates and romance can all be found at the Townsend Hotel’s Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea. A special menu has been created for the most romantic holiday of the year. It’s an exciting blend of traditional favorites that include cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches combined with desserts for the occasion, such as passion fruit mousse dome and chocolate raspberry tarts.

Afternoon tea is served in the lobby of Birmingham’s luxury hotel where guests can relax on overstuffed sofas near the warmth of the working fireplace. Fresh flower arrangements accent the dining area, and although not exclusive to Valentine's Day, they add to the romance of the holiday tea.

Additional tea sandwiches include shrimp canapé, smoked salmon, pear and ricotta and asparagus with boursin mousse. Orange cranberry scones will be served with lemon curd and mascarpone cheese. And, appropriate to Valentine's Day, more chocolate is served up with chocolate bark and chocolate mousse tea cups.

Treat yourself to a sweet holiday tea at the Townsend Hotel on Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day Tea is $36.00 per person. Reservations required at 248-647-2196 or
