Island recording artist and Sweden native, Tove Lo, is set to release Queen of the Clouds on September 30, which features the single, "Habits (Stay High)". Tove Lo first entered the pop arena earlier this year in March with her critically acclaimed debut EP Truth Serum. She performed at SXSW in Austin, TX this past year. Her single for “Habits (Stay High)” reached an impressive 12 million views on YouTube.com. Tove Lo is a VH1 You Oughta Know artist and was selected by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of "10 New Artists You Need To Know". Tove has been described as a "Swedish songbird" by Nylon Magazine. Her sound is just right down funky but yet translates to a pop audience. The single "Habits (Stay High) touches on some dark issues--using substances to deal with heartbreak.

Her new album, Queen of the Clouds is described as a three-part love story. Tove Lo started writing poetry as a young woman and that lead to many different opportunities in the world of music, especially from her native land of Sweden. At the same time she also started working on her own demos in-between earning money as a session singer. “I think I just started to feel like I wasn’t really into that music anymore,” says the singer. “I wanted to experiment more with other sounds and not keep it so organic. I was into the electronic stuff that was happening and the guitar player was very against that sort of stuff. I started producing my own songs on my computer which was fun.” The electro pop singer has made fans out of many including the electro-pop queen herself, Ellie Goulding.

Tove Lo soon graduated from Stockholm's prestigious and rigorous Rytmus Music school, which was a springboard for young swedish artists Robyn, Erik Hassle, and Amanda Mair. As a member of Max Martin's writing collective Tove earned writing credits for Icona Pop's "We Got The World" and Girls Aloud "Something New" that helped her get started in the business.
