The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Foundation, a non-profit public benefit corporation that receives and manages charitable contributions on behalf of the Tournament of Roses Association, is now accepting applications for 2014 grants, it was announced in a press release on Friday.
Applications are limited to organizations with 501(c)(3) status based in and serving one or more of the following communities: Alhambra, Altadena, Arcadia, La Canada, Monrovia, Pasadena, San Gabriel, San Marino, Sierra Madre and South Pasadena. Grants will be given in the categories of performing and visual arts, sports and recreation, and volunteer motivation and leadership development.
Since 1983, the Foundation has donated more than $2.4 million in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to more than 150 Pasadena-area organizations. Grant awards in 2013 totaled $100,000 with the average grant being $3,500. Organizations receiving grants are listed in this article.
Deadline for applications for the 2014 season is Jan. 30, 2014 at 5 p.m. Applicants can find grant guidelines, a special stipulations and requirements, and frequently asked questions about the grants program on the Foundation’s website at www.tournamentofroses.com/foundation.
Finalists will be notified the week of March 4, 2014 and asked to submit additional background materials by March 17, 2014. Applicants will be notified of their funding status via email in April 2014.
