Tour du Port bicycle event registration open

 

Registration is open for Tour du Port, the 16th annual bicycle trip through Baltimore, which takes place Sunday, Oct. 4 rain or shine. The trip starts and ends at Canton Waterfront Park. Riders can choose a 12-, 20-, 41- or 51-mile route through Baltimore's historic neighborhoods, waterfront and parks.

Riders get lunch and can participate in a post-ride celebration with live music. The event benefits One Less Car, a non-profit that promotes alternative transit in Maryland.

On-site registration starts at 7 a.m. Riders can start between 7:30 and 9:30 and must complete their routes by 3 p.m. (The post-ride party runs from 11 to 2.) Riders must wear helmets.

Early bird registration is $35 until September 6th; after September 6th , $45, after Sept. 20th, $50. Walk-in registration is $60.00. Children under 13 cost $15.
