Touch-up for touch of gray

Professionally done color at a favorite salon is something many women won't sacrifice in any economy, but when grays start popping up after only two weeks, sometimes you just want to be able to touch them up yourself until that next salon appointment.

That's where QuickTint, the instant hair root touch up, comes in handy. QuickTint is a professional, waterproof and portable instant hair root touch-up. It's temporary, but unlike some touch-ups that wash out immediately, QuickTint can last through several shampoos and won't flake or rub off - its exclusive, patented formula technology makes it bond to the hair.

All you have to do is twist the QuickTint pen until color appears in the brush, apply a tiny amount of pigment to the small comb provided, or directly to your roots. Either way, comb color through your hair so it adheres to the shaft. "The waterproof formulation means your color stays put through sweating, rain, swimming, even shampooing," explains Rita Starnella, celebrity hair colorist and creator of QuickTint.

Also unlike many hair touch-ups, QuickTint comes in ten shades - some offer only four. "Natural hair has many color variations. You don’t need to have an exact match. Just apply the shade closest to your hair color, and it will magically blend in," says Starnella. "It can also be used on your eyebrows," she adds. QuickTint was featured on the Rachael Ray Show, where they said "it's easy to use, gets you through in a pinch and it's not a big investment."

To remove, simply apply a little baby oil or vegetable oil to hair and shampoo out. Retail price is $14.95 at www.quicktint.net or by calling 1-888-873-6443.
