Touch Bistro Introduces the Ipad Based POS for the Food Industry

The cashless society we have heard so much about is on its way in with the POS from Touch Bistro. Imagine walking into your favorite restaurant and enjoying your meals without having to worry about payments, as long as you have an email address associated with your Pay Pal account.
No more scribbling of orders on notepads to get them mixed up and the potential for getting the orders messed up is almost totally eliminated.
Toronto- based Touch Bistro was founded in 2010 and now has offices in New York. They have partnered with Moneris, the leading payment processor for SME to provide leading edge payment solutions. In addition to Moneris, the mobile technology focused start-up has also added Pay Pal and Mercury as partners to process payments.

No More scribbles

The app has already turned out to be one of the ideal methods to accept payments in the mobile space, and is currently in use in more than 25 counties around the globe. The POS system is simple and very easy to use. Servers enter your orders which are sent directly to the kitchen on an iPad. Customers are also able to download the iOS based app from the Apple® App Store℠. The payment solution now means that customer can Pay at the Table without needing a bill from the servers.

The company was founded by entrepreneurs Alex Barrotti; CEO, who founded INEX Corp, that was sold to InfoSpace for $45 million, and Geordie Konrad; COO of Konrad Group, focused on investment and development of technology in the mobile space.

The app has quickly become the top-selling iOS iPad app for the food and beverage industry, and is quickly being adopted by many of the well–known restaurants.

On arriving at participating restaurants, customers are checked in with the PayPal app which has been downloaded to the iPad. The app also records the seat or table to which the customer has been assigned, and orders are placed which can be viewed on mobile devices in real time. The bill can be seen at any time, and payment is simple as clicking the “Pay Bill” button.
The restaurants save time and there is no wait for processing credit card payments, which means that payment processing is much faster, and considerably less costly.

The company was recently designated as one of the Hottest Companies in New York City for 2014, by lead411, which is a provider of business intelligence.
Downloads are available for free with a 45–day trial period, and offers a complete POS system, with a recurring subscription model.

Restaurant turnover is much faster, and the payment processing is much more convenient for customers. Both the paying customers and restaurant operators are loving the experiences
