The release of “Total War: Rome II” is so close you can nearly taste it. More promotional material is being released to sate the hungry waiting gamers. Here’s an update on the latest “Rome II” news.
Most recently released was a video titled “Total War: ROME II-Legionary Kit with Mykel Hawke”. The documentary short has the Discovery Channel presenter and U.S. Army Forces ‘Green Beret’ combat veteran analyze the equipment of a Roman legionary. Hawke compares the soldiers from 1,500 years ago to military standards today.
The Creative Assembly has also announced their plans for free and paid for content after the release of “Total War: Rome II”. The group has planned a combination of free and paid content with additional bonus features. Already scheduled for release in October are free and paid culture pack updates that will allow players to add the Seleucid Empire to their playable faction roster for free and Nomadic Tribes culture pack with paid-for DLC.
Lead Designer James Russell explained, “In addition to free content, gamers can expect to see Culture Packs that add more playable factions and unique units, Feature Packs that add gameplay or wide-ranging aesthetic changes, and Campaign Packs that add entirely new story-based campaign expansions.”
Another video was released debuting the games multiplayer. The video has some great insight from Community Team’s Trish Ryniak and Multiplayer designer Elliot Lock. “Total War: Rome II” launches worldwide on Sepember 3rd 2013. For more information visit the games website here.
