Sega released ‘Total War: Rome II” today Sept. 3. The latest installment in the highly acclaimed strategy franchise is finally available to play. The game is available to purchase on digital download and from retail stores worldwide.
“Total War: Rome II” allows players to choose between Rome, or one of many barbarian, Greco-Roman or eastern empires arrayed against them as they endeavor to create the most successful war machine of the ancient world. Players use military, political and mercantile power to achieve their goals. The strategic sandbox game is larger and more popular than its predecessor.
Rome 2 is the most pre-ordered game of the Total War franchise. The map is also nearly twice the size of “Total War: Rome”. In testament to the games success it has won over 20 E3 awards and nominations including; best in show strategy game by IGN, Destructoid and GameInformer as well as the E3 Game Critics’.
“The team has pulled out all the stops,” commented Total War Creative Director, Mike Simpson, “We hope gamers really enjoy it.”
