Announced today, Total War: Rome - Destroy Carthage, a new historical novel, will accompany Total War: Rome II at launch. Inspired by the possibilities the game presents, TWRDC will be the first of an entire series.

Championed by Sunday Times bestselling author, David Gibbins - Pharaoh, Gods of Atlantis, readers “follow Fabius Petronius Secundus – Roman legionary and centurion – in his rise from a battle against the Macedonians that seals the fate of Alexander the Great’s Empire, to total war in north Africa and the harrowing events of the infamous Siege of Carthage.”

In addition, the first chapter is available to read for free on the Total War wiki site. You can also check out TotalWarBooks for more details on TW literature.

Total War: Rome - Destroy Carthage will be available on September 3rd alongside Total War: Rome II.
