Who doesn’t like the thought of “total deliverance”? Spring Valley’s Total Deliverance Worship Temple offered up deliverance by hosting M.A.N.D.A.T.E.’s (a local gospel record label) 18th anniversary concert on Saturday, January 26, 2013.
Nu Vision, Archie Robinson, J. Pierre, Evangel, Men 4 Christ, and others either performed, did introductions, or contributed to a fun, gospel based evening.
Terri Fowler, with M.A.N.D.A.T.E, said the concert was a way to say “Thank you to San Diego for their support.”
Total Deliverance Worship Temple provided ample space for this well attended concert. Other M.A.N.D.A.T.E events coming up this year will be the Praise Fest in August. They will also have some of their artists participate in an up-and-coming gospel day in Lancaster.
Singer/songwriter, Evangel, helped to introduce part of the program. She started out 18 years ago and cites secular singers Chaka Khan and gospel singer Fred Hammond as influences. Good influences indeed, Evangel’s soothing, spiritual voice and lyrics can be heard on her Ministers of Reconciliation CD. Contact www.mandaterecords.com to purchase her music and to book performances for her or the other artists on their label.
Singer Archie Robinson‘s quote about keeping things “heart based” sums up the gospel concert and all of the artist's mindset.
The audience members surely did “receive” the vibe, the music, and the message----keep things “heart based” indeed Archie.
