Tory Burch sent her fall/winter 2013/2014 collection down the New York Fashion Week runway today and showed inspiration from the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1940’s. The vintage inspired attire was paired with an equally vintage inspired handbag collection which included classic satchels, shoulder bags and clutches.
The handbag collection on the Tory Burch fall/winter 2013/2014 runway today was structured, classic and anything but casual. The satchels hearkened back to a time of train travel and brought viewers back to a time when lady-like attire was the “norm” and not a fashion trend.
Tory Burch’s fall 2013 satchel collection was shown with one top handle and the handbags were medium in size. The designer created satchels in classic black, burgundy and prints.
In addition to satchels, Tory Burch designed small clutches which featured tuckable, chain shoulder straps. The clutches were perfect for evening occasions and were reminiscent of the 1920’s. Tory Burch’s clutch collection was shown with a hard box silhouette and in shades of black or red with gold trim. Many of the evening bags featured brooch embellishments.
The overall collection from Tory Burch for fall/winter 2013/2014 shown on the New York Fashion Week runway today was wearable for professional occasions and evening events. The styles were classic and flattering for almost all body types. The handbag collection was equally timeless and will easily integrate into any handbag fans’ wardrobe.
