Tory Burch wants to tear down $22.5 million mansion
Tory Burch, the fabulous lifestyle concept fashion designer, wants to tear down the home in Southampton that she purchased for $22.5 million.
Tory Burch obviously has some unresolved feelings about the home having purchased it from her ex, Chris Burch.
She and her beau, Lyor Cohen, no doubt want to start afresh, and who's going to let a $22.5 million dollar house stand in the way?
It's a comfortable six bedroom home designed by Norman Jaffe and custom built by David Webb. It sits on 4.5 acres with views of the ocean and the bay. Tory Burch will be able to fly in to watch the progress of the tear down because the property has a helipad too.
The Southampton public records don't give a clue what she intends to build in the mansion's place, but there will be a lot of interest from public officials and preservationists after she bulldozes the place and wants to rebuild.
