Torrey Smith wins GMC’s NSNM of the Year and UWCM will help a Baltimore school

Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Champion and second year WR Torrey Smith is known for giving back. Torrey established the Torrey Smith Foundation. You can read more about the foundation by clicking here. Torrey won GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year. On Sunday September 23, 2012, Torrey’s younger brother Tevin died in a motorcycle accident. Torrey decided to play the same day and had a remarkable game with 6 receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns which lead to a Baltimore Ravens 31-30 victory over the New England Patriots.

The United Way of Central Maryland will be providing Baltimore area school children with a free In2books e-mentoring classroom for a full year. The In2books e-mentoring classroom is for students in 3rd-6th grade. The purpose of this program is to develop students reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
