Mayor Rob Ford of Toronto not only bucked his city powers-that-be by not resigning as requested – after he admitted smoking crack – but now he’s turning the screw a little tighter by tossing his name on the ballot to enter the race one more time. According to Yahoo! News on Tuesday, Ford was fist in line at City Hall in Toronto as registration began on Thursday morning. The election is to take place on Oct. 27 of this year.

Ford publicly asserted that he was the best mayor Toronto has ever had and proudly proclaimed “Ford more years!”

In speaking with reporters, Ford said that if you want to get personal, that’s fine. But he went on to say that he’s sticking to his record and talk is cheap. He promised that Toronto is going to see action like it had never seen before.

More subdued on Twitter, Ford posted a picture of himself signing the required paperwork and messaging: “Just filed my paperwork for the 2014 election. Vote on October 27th.”

Ford is a fiscal conservative who was asked by the Toronto City Council to resign in the past year due to his drug use. Ford has asserted that he has quit his bad behaviors.
