Hey Everyone! Today I'm writing to you from 38,000 feet somewhere above Saskatchewan as we're on our way to Calgary for our game Friday night vs. the Stampeders!
First let me answer some of your questions...
Jen T. asks what is Taylor's favorite CFL city outside of Toronto?
It is funny you mention that Jen, I actually get asked this question a lot! Aside from
Craig wants to know what is Taylor's favorite specific offensive play to run and why?
Well Craig, being an offensive lineman, I am definitely bias to the run game. If I were to pick one of my favourite plays to run, I would have to go with a play we simply call "Zack". What that play is for us is an inside zone read, meaning our QB is going to read a certain defender on the field and depending on what he does he will either hand the ball off to our running back, or he will keep the ball, roll out and throw a pass or run with the ball himself; it’s a very common play in our league, used by almost every team. Why do I like it so much? Normally, I will have a guy lined up on my outside shoulder, to a head up alignment in front of me, and my job is to take him one-on-one and drive him off the ball and create a hole for our RB to have somewhere to run if he gets the hand off. The fact it’s a one-on-one block means it’s time to man up and see who wins, and I normally like my odds!
As we head into our 3rd game of the season, we're coming off our first loss last week to
The defending champs are off to a slow start this year, but they are hungry for their first win of the season, but don't forget we're just as hungry for a win so it should be a great game. Check our games out on TSN and I’ll talk to you all in a few weeks!!

Unfortunately, the Argonauts came up short in Calgary. Up next for the Argos: two straight weeks versus Winnipeg, first on the road, then in Toronto.

Comments
Does it help to play the same team two straight times?
At this point in your career are there any new techniques and tricks to learn from the O-Line coach or your teammates, or is it all about executing the plays as they're drawn up?
Got something to say?
