The Southern California Weather Authority has just issued their Tornado Watch boxes. There are two of them.

The first box is for Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, and The Inland Empire. Dynamics will become favorable for thunderstorms to develop through Wednesday evening.

The second one is for Wednesday afternoon and evening for the Eastern Desert of Southern California, including the Colorado River Valley.

In addition to these, a weaker version of the tornado watch, the tornado advisory, has been put for the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County areas.

"This is a potent event that will bring severe weather and tornadoes to the forecast area", said SCWXA Meteorologist Kevin Martin.
