We have seen a host of political wives stand by their men in the face of infidelity allegations. Hillary Clinton was perhaps the most dramatic example of a woman who fiercely kept her family together in the face of a scandal that led to impeachment hearings for President Bill Clinton. Tori Spelling appears to have the same determination. A string of publications are reporting the infidelity news today, Jan.1, 2014. The New York Daily News Says: Tori Spelling posts family pics amid husband's cheating rumors. And this is from E! Online also on the first day of 2014: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Cuddle Up in 2014 New Year's Picture Amid Cheating Allegations. The family is holding a large sign that says: "Happy New Year 2014, Love, The McDermotts."

Us Weekly broke the story and, according to a Gawker report on tabloid reliability, they are one of the better ones. They are said to have cover story batting average of 35 percent accuracy and “59 percent of the unconfirmed resports.” Which Tabloids Lie the Most?

Is there hope for the marriage? This is from Dr. Ruth Westheimer

Can couples forgive and reunite after infidelity? In talking with her, Dr. Ruth suggests marriage counseling for those who want to save their marriage — despite the time, effort, and cost with no guarantee.

Nonetheless, she said, “A therapist will talk to each person one-on-one in confidence and in that way find out what is really happening. With a therapist’s guidance, couples can often find solutions.” Providence Journal, Sunday, August 1, 2010: Overselling infidelity on the Internet.
