Tori Spelling denies rumors of divorce (video)

Just days before the new season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood premiered, rumors began in earnest that revealed Tori Spelling and her husband, actor Dean McDermott, were approaching the end of their marriage.

Normally this type of rumor starts when there really is a hint of truth behind it, or the celeb is hoping for publicity. Only time will tell which scenario is the case in this marriage, but this particular rumor had its origins in words spoken in footage from the upcoming reality show, after it was leaked to the public. Spelling was heard stating,

It's like you got more and more unhappy and angry, I just want the old Dean back. I really do. I miss you so much.

Spelling told host Ann Curry on the Today show, on April 5, 2010, that the argument was serious and the couple have their ups and down's, but they are committed to making their marriage work.

Cameras in the home, following every move, can have devastating effects on a marriage, as we have seen in the case of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, as well as the very public demise of the relationship between Jon and Kate Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus 8 fame.

Spelling may want to heed the example of the others who have traveled the path before her, but she seems to understand the consequences and appears not to want to give up the money or fame, all the while admitting,

I know show business has been my life, and I love doing it. But I have this other side that wants to be the soccer mom and wants to live in a small town and take my kids in the carpool and be at home and cook dinner every night. I kind of wish I had both, that I could balance both.

    I hope they are ok.

I saw her on Oprah, and I was really impressed with her.. she is not at all how she's perceived...

Well ever since I learned that Dean left his wife (right after they adopted a child together) for Tori just weeks after meeting her, I haven't been rooting for Tori & Dean. He presented himself for what he was then and the fun of a new life is probably wearing off. I just feel sorry for the children. And goodness, could Tori be any skinnier?

I do hope for everyone's sake (children included) that they stay together. I've seen her interviewed before and I've always been impressed.
