Tor hosts a 'Buffy' retrospective in honor of the Slayer's 15th anniversary

In honor of the fifteenth anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tor Books is doing a BTVS retrospective.

In 1997, the very first episode of Joss Whedon's classic (And yes, we can certainly call it a classic by now. This is not up for debate) TV show introduced us to Buffy Summers and her Scooby Gang of demon-fighting and witty high school outcasts. Since that episode, the seven season of BTVS have captured the hearts and stakes of Whedonites the world over.

Tor's Alyx Dellamonica will be re-watching the complete series to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary on March 10th. Dellamonica will explore the characters, themes, and "all the fun" of the beloved series through several essays on Tor's website.

Tor Books is known as a staple of the science fiction community, publishing some of the best sci fi and fantasy in recent pop culture. It's highly likely that their admiration of Joss Whedon is entirely mutual with the man who gave us Buffy, Angel, Firefly, and Dollhouse.
