Hall was hit by Senators' defenseman Eric Gryba in the second period. Hall was furious about the hit and got a two minute minor penalty for slashing Gryba immediately afterwards. Hall tried to remain in the game, but his leg was just too sore.
The injury Hall suffered on Saturday came two days after the Oilers' left winger made Oilers history by scoring two goals in a team record eight seconds. Hall broke a record set by Wayne Gretzky in 1981. The Oilers however lost that game 3-2. So far this season, Hall leads the Oilers with eight points.
