According to the Kansas City Business Journal (KCBJ), Short's Travel Management is the No. 1 2013 women-owned business in the Kansas City area, ranked by 2012 revenue.

Short's Travel Management had $170,560,953 in revenue in 2012. The Overland Park, KS company also placed in the No. 1 position in 2012 (based on 2011 revenue).

Six companies that were not in the ranking for 2012 made the list in 2013, including McCormick Co., Controlled Environment Products, Inc. and Grapevine Designs.
