EDEN PRAIRIE, MN -- The Eagan boys lacrosse team came into Monday nights matchup ranked number one in state, Eden Prairie came in ranked second. Those in attendance expected a great game. And they got one.

Eden Prairie's solid play built up a 11-6 lead with 10 minutes left in the game. Junior Jake Woodring lead the scoring with five goals for the Eagles while Sophmore Charlie Venable amassed four.

A late comeback of four goals in the closing minutes by Eagan pulled the Wildcats within one. Cullen Willox scored two goals, Mike Kukulski scored one and Sophomore Max Elsenheimer’s goal with less than a minute to play pulled the Wildcats to within a goal.

Eden Prairie's junior goaltender Anthony Perkins made a key save with 10 seconds remaining to seal the win for the Eagles 11-10.
