Everyone loves tips about how to make their Walt Disney World vacation a little bit more magical. And everyone has tips they can offer you. It does not matter how many time you have visited the Disney theme parks. I bet you are always on the look out for new and exciting tips to help make your day easier and get the most out of your vacation.
Here are some tips to help you navigate the theme parks during your upcoming Disney World getaway.
Take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours (EMH). EMH gives Disney resort guests an extra hour to enjoy the park before it opens, while in the evening it gives you an extra three hours after the park closes. Use this schedule to help decide which parks you plan to visit on which day.
Arrive at the theme parks before they even open. Plan to arrive approximately 30 minutes before the park opens, especially if you are spending the day at the water parks. This way you can get the seat you want, either in the shade or near the pool. Or if going to a theme park you are first in line.
Disney offers a ride swap option for most attractions. Take advantage of this option, especially if you have small kids who cannot enjoy a ride or do not want to because they are scared. This option allows one parent to ride the ride, while the other stays behind with the kids. Then after the one parent is done, they can swap the kids. Let the Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction that you want to take advantage of the ride swap option.
Leave for lunch. Take a break from the parks when temperatures begin to rise and go back to your resort. Eat some lunch and enjoy the pool for a couple of hours. Then return to the park, when crowds begin to thin out and temperatures cool off.
Use Disney’s Transportation system. This will save you money on gas and help your avoid the stress of dealing with a car and parking it.
FastPass, FastPass, FastPass…use it. It will help you shorten your time wasted waiting in lines and make navigating the parks easier giving you more time to enjoy more of the park.
